Band/Orchestra
Good job to all our various volunteers for all of the effort and passion to lead our church well. I thought all the gatherings went very well and that there was an engaging response from our people to enter into our corporate worship experience.
A couple of things that will continue our rise in excellence:
- Please be aware and follow the various schedules. We have very little time to sound check/rehearse so punctuality vital.
-Bridge 1: 7:45a – Set you instruments/area up, 8:00a – Sound Check, 8:15a – Rehearsal, 8:45a – Prayer in Choir Room, 9:00a Start Service
-Bridge 2: 9:40a – Run Through in Choir Room, 10:15a – Setup Stage, 10:25a – Sound Check, 10:35a – Off Stage (choir room), 10:45a, Start Service
-Uplink: 11:15a – Stage Setup, 11:30a – Sound Check, 11:40a – Rehearsal, 12:05p – Meet behind stage for prayer, 12:15p – Start Service
Stage Team
Awesome job of the day goes to Pat McLaughlin, our stage director, who kept the chaos of our largest child dedications in all of our gatherings to a calm bliss. What a smooth transition and time of effective ministry. Thanks Pat for all your help and thanks to Lance Haver who is helping out and looking to get plugged in. Excited for what the future holds for this much-needed area of ministry!
Camera
We did not record on Sunday since McCleary was without power (planned) and the fact that our new tripod isn’t in yet. It will be in by this Sunday and we will be recording. We are looking for Camera operators so if you know of anyone who needs to get plugged into ministry let us know so we can get them trained and operational. We would like to start recording the worship for the both of the Bridge gatherings and we only record the message in the 1st Bridge.
Audio
Brent Peeples did another great job running the FOH for both of the Bridge Gatherings. We need to keep playing with the Aviom units to dial in a good sound. Are the drums working having them sent off of a single Aux? Do we feel like we need an audience mic? The audience mic would be nice in Uplink. I had to keep pulling out my left ear monitor to gauge whether the people were with us. Your feedback would be great.
Video
The video team did a fine job not being distracting which is the best compliment I can think to give the tech team. The words seemed to be early which is always a plus. Video techs, remember that it’s better to have the words early than late. If they are late the congregation is really late and we are unable to lead well. I hope you’re enjoying having the detailed layout of the songs and I hope we haven’t strayed to far from these maps. (Refer to the Planning Center printout if you don’t know of what I speak.) We need to meet in the coming weeks as a team to discuss background slides for the singing. I don’t know about you but I’m tremendously bored with the ultra moving backgrounds and think they belong back in the 90′s where we found them. Maybe some of our creative friends can create some new backgrounds that are themed to the lyrics of our songs. Ideas are welcome.
Lighting
CCI installed the loaner processor during the week and I didn’t notice any lighting problems which was a huge win! Let’s keep a careful eye on the system to make sure we’ve solved the right problem.
We are hoping to have an A/V/L meeting here in the next few weeks to meet some new people we want to get on the team as well as brush up on some new training tips in our specific areas. Keep a look out for the date and make every effort to be available.
Overall, a great Sunday at ECC. Thanks team for giving it 100%. If you have any ideas how to get us to 120% please let me know as I want to make sure you all feel inspired in your various roles of Kingdom participation. Remember, God has given us the unique privilege to be the hands and feet of His Gospel message…what an opportunity!!!
For Jesus’ Glory,
P. Seth
It was great to have Lance helping out this week on the stage crew and, just to emphasize what Seth said, we are VERY excited to begin developing this team to assist Pat as we embark on this new arrangement of Sunday services. So, a big thanks to Pat and Lance for their dedication and vision in this area! You guys are great men!
